We are Rachel, Allison and Suzie from Child Friendly Brighton & Hove. We want to make bringing up your children in Brighton & Hove as easy as possible so we are developing the site with you parents and carers of children in mind whether you are living in or just visiting our lovely city.
Rachel Eatock started her career at 19 Entertainment under Simon Fuller where she supported various artists including the biggest girl band in the UK of all time, The Spice Girls. Since moving to Hove in 2006 she has worked in special needs education and also been part of the project team that delivered the London Olympics. As a very creative Mum adept at making anything from cupcakes to cushions Rachel has ploughed her love of sewing into launching a business called Pinfolds Presents selling personalised children’s gifts. She has 2 children at junior school.
Allison Wightman started her career with M&S where she spent 10 years building up her management skills before moving to Post Office Ltd and then Virgin Atlantic as Head of eBusiness. She moved to Brighton when she was pregnant with her first child and now has 2 children at West Hove Connaught School and Hove Day Nursery. More recently she moved out of the corporate world to join ConnectiD a start up focused on reinventing your smartphone address book and ensuring it stays up to date over time.
Suzie Gatt, originally from Malta, has entrepreneurial spirit in her veins and originally ran a company called Circle Events organising all aspects of travel and entertainment for groups of overseas visitors. Suzie originally worked for Meriden Hotels and Café Royal and is a professional restaurant reviewer in Sussex and the surrounding areas. Suzie has 2 children who are at Amigo nursery in Brighton.
