Are you ready? Grab a spoon! Because it’s Pat-a-cake time!
Pat-a-cake Baby wants to make a very special cake and needs your help to wake up the moon to come to tea, what a job it is!
This festive season we are very pleased to welcome back Long Nose Puppets with a brand new, marvellous, moonlit show full of riotous rhyme, zany puppets and spiffy special cake; all iced with music and songs by Tom Gray (Gomez, Cbeebies, Tilly and Friends). Little children will feel stuffed to the brim with magic!
Pat-a-Cake Baby is based on the book written by Joyce Dunbar and illustrated by Polly Dunbar. Winner of the Mal Peet Children’s Award at the East Anglian Book Awards.
Long Nose Puppets are unique in that well known children’s author and illustrator Polly Dunbar (Penguin, Tilly and Friends) has a completely hands on roll in devising the shows and making the puppets, therefore the final productions are as close to the books as possible. Polly is the daughter of Joyce Dunbar who also wrote the hugely popular Shoe Baby.
Winners of Best Children’s Show at Brighton Fringe Festival (Shoe Baby 2006)
‘Cake mixing, baking and eating fuel this zingy, high-energy story as a restless baby sets about a night-time adventure…All glittery and fun and perfect for both story time and bedtime’ The Guardian
For ages 2-7
You can catch a show between 18 – 31 December (no shows on 25/26 Dec)
