Forest School and Saplings Toddler Group
Forest School is a long-term, child-led approach to learning, where children are allowed the freedom to learn outdoors rather than being confined to a classroom. Inspired by the ‘nature nurseries’ that have existed in Sweden for decades, Forest School is proven to have a great effect on the natural development of children, helping with social skills, confidence, learning capacity, problem-solving skills and emotional well-being. The Outdoors Project shares many values with the ethos of Forest School and delivers tailor-made Forest School sessions for schools and nurseries in Brighton, Hove and West Sussex.
We also run ‘Saplings’ sessions, based on the Forest School ethos, for toddlers. Come along for stories, bug hunts, mud painting, stories and more!
