Churchill Square To Host Mad Science Shows for Free Half Term Fun!
The Olympic Games come early to Brighton during half term as a team of Mad Scientists takes over the Churchill Square shopping centre to present four days of high-energy shows, including the Mad Olympics 2012.
Budding scientists young and old will be heading to Churchill Square from Tuesday 14th to Friday 17th. Jupiter Jules, Kinetic Kaye and the Mad Science team will be firing up their Bunsen burners and getting their test tubes bubbling away, demonstrating the magic of science through experiments such as The Big Burp, Mad Science Shower and Bubbling Potions.
The show reaches its climax when the Mad Scientists celebrate the biggest British sporting event of the century. The London 2012 Olympic Science Show is a fun, interactive show designed to set children’s minds racing at the numerous ways that science is used to improve performance, health, fitness and safety.
Mad Science Fun Stations will also be running between shows to provide drop-in sessions for children and parents. Participants are encouraged to create their own tornados, explore electricity, raise their hair with the Van De Graaf Generator, stir up their own Giant Tornados and experience static sensations and slime around in gooey Mad Science madness!
The Mad Science shows will take place between the 14th and 17th February at: 11.30am, 12.30pm, 13.30pm, 14.30pm. The Fun Stations are open between 10am – 4pm when the shows are not on.
The shows are free (no booking necessary) and suitable for children age 5 – 12.
So turn up to Churchill Square and become a mad scientist!
