Baby Bass change bag
Reviewed by Child Friendly Brighton & Hove
For a baby change bag that is spacious, practical, and stylish, you can’t go wrong with the Baby Bass, designed and sold by Tredz London. The change bags come in a selection of bright colours – there are 12 colours to choose from, I opted for the bright yellow version which I adore.
The bag converts from messenger bag to rucksack and also clips to your pram/buggy. I like the fact that it is so versatile and functional but also looks great!
I’ve been using my Baby Bass change bag for over a month now. It has a number of accessories including a really useful inner ‘paddy’ bag, a cushion, and a superb change mat – definitely the best one I’ve ever used in a change bag. Babies quite quickly grow out of the standard sized change bag mats, but the Baby Bass version is longer, wider and nicely quilted (ideal for my 17 month old daughter). It can be attached to the detached section of the change bag, and along with the little cushion accessory, it forms a soft pillow which can be used for added comfort when your baby is lying down on the change mat (or even an impromptu bed!). The other side of the mat is made of waterproof recycled plastic that can be wiped clean, enhancing the bag’s eco friendliness.
The Baby Bass has 6 different functions and uses so it is really ideal for on-the-go parents (much like me!). Each section of the bag is fully washable and it is all made from eco-friendly materials.
You can take the detachable inner ‘paddy’ bag out so that you don’t have to take the whole change bag into the toilets or even out with you if you are wanting to travel light. This inner bag has space for essential things such as nappies, wipes, baby bottles and even calpol bottles. The other advantage of this is you can continue to use the main bag when the nursing and nappy stage is over.
It has space for everything you need, with plenty of room for all your baby’s things such as change of clothes, food, nappies, wipes and so on!
My only criticism is that I find it a bit fiddly to close the bag fasteners, a buckle might be a better option but that is just my own personal preference. Other than that, I think it is a really useful change bag that looks fun and trendy, stands out from other change bags in the versatility and functionality of it, and a really impressive change mat.
The Bass change bag retails at £99.99 and I think this does represent good value as it is a unique design and is so very functional and versatile.
