This is a volunteer-run café within the beautiful Art Deco Saltdean Lido. The café is open on Sundays only, 2-5pm. I’m told that they serve lovely soup, delicious cakes, with fruit and vegetable snacks available too. So come down for a light lunch and/or tea, coffee and cake, relax and read the papers while the kids play in the adjoining hall (although you are responsible for your own children!). The adjoining hall has lots of toys and books for all different ages, from a play house to board games! There are also baby changing rooms, high chairs and free parking. The Saltdean Lido is situated next to a park with tennis courts and playground, and is right by the beach.
