FEBRUARY HALF TERM PLACES AVAILABLE NOW…
FOR THE COURT FARM VIDEO FILM MAKING PROJECT 2012

The good news…
Bitesize Movies will be running The Court Farm kids video film making course for its fourth year and once again will be hosted by the Court Farm Collective in Hove this year.

This will be one weekend session during the half term in February (Friday & Sat)

If your child wants to get into video film making and has no idea where to start, then this course is ideal. Its a perfect beginners course to digital film making and covers all basic aspects of video production. From story boarding a film, right through to shooting, editing and screening the finished movie.

In previous years we focused on documentary based films but last year we changed direction and made ‘genre’ based short fiction films (sci-fi, horror, thriller etc) with a view to screening them at the Duke of York’s cinema. This is what we will be repeating this year as well.

We will also be shooting and making our own music videos as well, which has proven to be so popular since we started the project.

Now, the bad news. For the first two years we have been funded and have been able to make the courses pretty much free, but this year we have absolutely no grant assistance (once again) so am having to charge a fee for the weekend. Its just one flat fee with no hidden extras.

One weekend is £45 per child.

PLEASE NOTE: because of some of the technical aspects to this course and the focus required it is recommended for kids from age 9-14 aprox. Though obviously this is not fixed.

We estimate we can cater for 10-12 kids for the weekend which will be split into 2 to 3 groups and they will decide what they want to focus on: Either the music video or a feature based short film. Although at the end of the session we will be making a group effort music video regardless.

DUKE OF YORKS SCREENING:
The last two years 2010/2011 Court Farm Project Films will be screened at the Duke of Yorks Picturehouse on Sunday 12th Feb. This will be the first time the kids from last years project would have seen their films on the big screen. Do come along if you want to see what we do or want to chat to those involved. More details are posted below.
