LET YOUR CHILDREN MAKE THEIR VERY OWN GINGERBREAD HOUSE THIS CHRISTMAS
Workshops for children to create and have fun around Sussex
TWO mums are running festive gingerbread house making workshops in Sussex this Christmas.
Fay Millar and Adele Wilkinson are holding three special family classes for parents and their children.
Mums and dads can spend a couple of hours making and decorating their own gingerbread house with their kids.
There will be plenty of sugary sweets, chocolates and icing to make the gingerbread houses as well as a chance to have a go at modelling a sugar Father Christmas or snowman.
Fay said: “The classes are a great thing for families to do this Christmas and those who take part get to make their very own gingerbread masterpiece.
“The gingerbread house is a traditional European cake and can be decorated in so many ways. No two houses are ever quite the same.”
The classes cost £40 per adult and one child. Additional children who want to help are £5 each.
All materials and equipment are supplied. Refreshments and Christmas music will also be available.
Adele added: “The great thing about these workshops is they don?t require a high level of skill – anyone can have a go and create something magical.
“Gingerbread houses also appeal to both young and old. Children love picking off all the sweets and chocolate whilst adults appreciate the spiced ginger taste.
“They also make great gifts too.”
The workshops, run by Brighton Cakes, will be held at Blatchington Mill Windmill Community Room, Holmes Avenue, Hove on November 24 and December 1 from 10am to aproximately 12.30pm and at Heene Community Centre, Heene Road, Worthing, on December 8, from 9.30am to noon.
