This National Trust garden, set in the High Weald, is home to many rare and unusual plants, flowers and wildlife. Forage through the ancient woods and admire the stunning trees (such as oaks, ferns and firs) and the beautifully designed planted gardens with fun topiary designs. There is planting all year round so that no matter what season you visit, there will always be beautiful sights and smells. Children love the bamboo jungle with brass rubbing, and the tracker packs for collecting bugs! There is a nice restaurant with an area for children to sit and colour in so you can take a sheltered break! There is a children’s audio guide, family spotter trails and family activities throughout the year (particularly at weekends and school holidays). Family activities include workshops on seed planting and bird box making, and Spring Watch activities.
