There are plenty of things to do and see along Brighton Beach which would be of interest for babies, toddlers and kids of all ages. For example, the Peter Pan Playground is situated half-way between the Marina and the Palace Pier. The Palace Pier (Madeira Drive, Brighton BN2 1TW) itself has a small funfair at the far end with some rides and carousels suitable for toddlers. Hove Beach (west of Brighton Beach) is a much quieter, calmer seafront to explore. More frequented by locals than tourists, you are more likely to walk past the famous beach huts than any clubs or bars. Get an ice-cream at Marroco’s or another 10-15 min walk west, get a beer and sit outside the Babylon Lounge (they have picnic tables out on the promenade), they also sell ice-creams. This paddling pool gets busy in the holidays although not quite as crowded as the West Pier paddling pool. Public toilets with baby changing facilities close by, and of course the playground and VBites restaurant.
