My dad and I arrived as the event was starting and there was already a queue, but it went quickly and we were in really soon. We walked straight ahead into the main hall where there were loads of fun activities including aerodynamic stuff, a book sale and a cool looking electric light activity. We moved into all the rooms to have a look at what was going on and then we got stuck into getting DNA from a strawberry, making a paper brain, paper DNA and polystyrene neurons.
It wasn’t just science, there were animals to hold, including snakes, cockroaches (to be precise they were deaths head cockroaches and kissing cockroaches), bearded dragons and many more. So I would say that ! The only thing that could perhaps do with a bit of science magic is the cafe – snacks are great, but not ideal for lunch.
We spent 2.5 hours there and the time just flew by, it is really worth every penny of the £6 entry fee and we will without doubt be back next year. Thank you Brighton Science festival!
